How to get there

Location

The Nature Reserve of volcano Cosigüina lies at the extreme north-west of Nicaragua. With an expanse of 13,168 hectares it is one of the oldest natural reserves of Nicaragua, located in El Viejo, Chinandega, about 208 km northeast of Managua.

How to get there

By car

From Chinandega take the road to El Viejo-Potosi, when you reach the village El Congo (about 35 km) go along the unpaved road for 18 km. After turning to Potosi, drive 15 minutes and there you will see our RAMSAR Lodge.

By public transportation

From Chinandega take one of the so-called “chickenbusses” to Cosigüina at the market “El Mercadito”. Ask the bus driver to drop you of at “Las Cabañas de la piscina”
